Miley Cyrus took to Twitter yesterday to show her millions of followers her brand new pet puppy.
Floyd, who looks like a mini-wolf to us, is Miley's third dog and joins her German shepherd Mate and Lila, a Yorkshire terrier in an ever growing collection of pets.
Tweeting on her Gypsy Heart account, Miley said: "I'm so in love with him it is ridiculous." adding, "laying in bed watching Breaking Bad with Floyd! Counting down until the new season!" The dog even managed to get an early bath when he joined Miley in the tub.
"Floyd was barking to get my attention and I was to busy tweeting so he jumped into the bath tub with me!"
Miley Cyrus hasn't really done much charity work since last year in my opinion. But she is now back to work with her charity project called Get Ur Good On. Since the start of the year, she has focused on her music career, not leaving much room for anything else. However, she seems to be slowly adding new things back to her mix of jobs.
Miley recorded a special message for her fans to help spread her charity out more. This is the first non-music related video that Miley has released thus year, which you will find at the bottom of this post. In the video, she goes into detail about how she started the charity and urges other people to join the effort.
I am glad that she is getting back involved with her charity projects. I really think that was one thing people loved about her from the start. She had a big heart and it is nice to see that hasn't changed. I just hope she stays involved in them now. That is the key to help keep them successful, it cannot survive without her star power or having her as a head of it without her being there. You either have to put a lot of you in it or give it up, and she seems to be realizing that at least about work now. So I have hope she will see that now as well for charities.
Music purists are likely divided over whether performers born in the '90s covering Fleetwood Mac is a respectful nod to music's past, or a sign of the apocalypse. In something that falls slightly more towards the latter, Miley Cyrus has been gifting audiences to a live version of "Landslide" on her Gypsy Heart Tour in Australia. Complete with trashy mom attire-a bedazzled bra arranged to achieve the perfect amount of cleavage, knee-high boots that can still be seen underneath a long, gauze dress with birds...lots of them-Miley tries her best to convey the pain and struggle felt with getting older, attempting to sound like Stevie Nicks with every hacking cough she throws in at the end. (You can't fake years of drug use.) Ms. Cyrus is definitely not afraid of tackling the greats, having also covered Nirvana's "Smells Like Teen Spirit" this spring. That dancing alone still frequents our nightmares dreams.
So is Miley's take on the Mac classic really bad, or just plain awful? She's not the first of the Under 21 set to tackle this in 2011 alone: Naya Rivera and Heather Morris covered the song-albeit, the Dixie Chicks version-as high school students on Glee (with help from Gwyneth Paltrow). At least Santana questioning her sexuality filled their version with a little more substance than Miley's musings about the difficulties of jumping from the Disney Channel to Nicholas Sparks films ever will.
Miley Cyrus was just finishing up the final song at her Melbourne, Austalia concert on Friday night (June 24) when an overzealous female fan stormed onto the stage and grabbed the singer from behind.
Fast forward to the 3:54 mark of the clip below to watch the young fan passionately sprint to Miley just as she finishes her performance of "The Climb." Right as the fan appears to get her hands on the prize, the pop star's trusty security guard darts in and tackles the fan off stage. Watch below.
Cyrus, after realizing what had just happened, backs away in utter shock repeating the words, "Oh god." and the security swiftly guides her off the stage to avoid any possibility of danger.
FEW would describe Miley Cyrus as the shy and retiring type.
But the 18-year-old singer has admitted she is worried about performing her raunchy dance routines when her Gypsy Heart tour gets to Melbourne - because boyfriend Liam Hemsworth's parents will be watching.
Liam, 21, comes from Melbourne, and his parents Craig and Leonie will be in the front row when Miley performs there on Thursday night.
But in the meantime, the singer didn't seem to have any qualms as she performed a racy set in Brisbane on Tuesday night, slipping into a series of revealing ensembles.
Miley, who was watched on by her mother Tish and boyfriend Hemsworth from the wings, put on a sultry show as she cavorted with a male backing dancer in a scarlet leotard.
She was cheered on by 13,000 screaming fans, but on Thursday she will have the though of Hemsworth's parents watching her from the crowd.
Miley told Sydney radio station 2DayFM: 'I'm really nervous about it. I'm going to be right on front of them in my Can't Be Tamed outfit. Oh my God.'
'I hate it when people I know are right there in front of me in the audience.'
YOU guys, Miley Cyrus really wants to be a rock star. Like a lot.
From the minute she stormed the stage in leather hot pants, knee high boots and with her grungy looking band, Miley was making clear she was dancing on the grave she had starting digging for Hannah Montana last year.
The 18-year-old started her first Australian concert in Brisbane last night with a rendition of Liberty Walk that did not stray much from her album version as she proved something many of us may have doubted -- she can sing, actually.
Much credit is due to the pop star (sorry Miley, you are not a rock star) who sang every note of her concert, even going without filling tracks.
Her cover heavy set featured a Joan Jett medley of I Love Rock n Roll, Cherry Bomb and Bad Reputation which, after I stopped cringing, was actually quite good.
Though looking around the Brisbane Entertainment Centre there were not many fans who actually knew what she was singing after I Love Rock n Roll.
The girls aged between six and 16-years-old were subdued through the medley, probably due to confusion.
But that did not stop Miley who went on to cover Fleetwood Mac's Landslide and, bizarrely, Nirvana's Smell Like Teen Spirit.
I was not really concerned about Kurt Cobain turning in his grave as I'm sure he has not stopped spinning since he was buried, and Miley's version roused all her tweens while showing off her vocal range. She may have turned it in to a pop song but it was a damn catchy one.
However, Miley singing all these classics makes her a rock star about as much as sitting in my editor's chair makes me the boss.
She may be trying to grow up but her fan base is not. She filled the Entertainment Centre but I doubt she would fill a bar if she played an over-18s gig.
She may be taking herself a bit too seriously but there were moments of comic relief for the older members of the audience such as when she tried to thrust her groin suggestively and kept almost losing her balance in her sky high boots. I lost count of the thrusts at 148 I think.
Miley does put on a great show, and if she stopped trying so hard to be cool and did what came to her naturally then her show would probably be excellent.
But I guess the whole point of being a teenager is to try to be cool.
Miley Cyrus has paid tribute to late Jackass star star Ryan Dunn by posting a snap of them together on her Twitter page.
Dunn was killed in a high speed car crash in Pennsylvania on Monday. According to West Goshen police, toxicology tests reveal that at the time of his death, Dunn's blood-alcohol level was 0.196 – more than twice the state's legal limit.
Cyrus took to Twitter to share a snap of her and Dunn, writing: "Just found this picture of me cracking up at Ryan Dunn. What a happy energy he had. RIP =[" accompanied by a snap of them together.
Jackass costar Johnny Knoxville also paid tribute to Dunn. He took to his blog to say "what I wished I could have told everyone then."
"I felt 34-percent funnier when I was with Ryan, but I guess everyone did," Knoxville said. "He had such a hair trigger laugh reflex. He lived his life wanting to laugh and wanting you to laugh with him. He would cackle really f**king loud, too, and it wasn't uncommon that he would fall over from it. Sometimes I would fall with him because his spirit was very contagious.
"A lion's share of [Ryan's love] went to his sweet and beautiful Angie," Knoxville said.
"If he wasn't with her he would be talking about her. More times than not he would smile wide through that filthy ass beard of his and say something along the lines of, 'How did I ever luck up and land her?' Well, it sure wasn't because of the way he smelled that's for sure. (Dunn despised water and rarely bathed.) It was because he had a pure, open heart, and many other qualities of which I am writing about now."
AW, ain't love grand? Visiting American teen sensation Miley Cyrus indulged in her two major fascinations yesterday - her Aussie hunk boyfriend Liam Hemsworth and more retail therapy.
A day after she and mum Tish swept through Sydney's fashionable Darlinghurst shopping district, Cyrus yesterday hit the shops with Hemsworth after the Phillip Island-born actor took a break from filming The Hunger Games in the US to visit his lady love in his home country.
Hemsworth flew in early yesterday and, after a few hours in Cyrus's suite at the Four Seasons, headed out to lunch at Wagamama's at Darling Harbour before the loved-up pair worked off lunch by trawling jewellery shops in Oxford St. And, proving the on-again, off-again romance is very much "on", they openly kissed and hugged.
After a lunch date, the on-off couple hit the Oxford St shops, visiting the Ganapati store in Paddington.
Hemsworth stood waiting for an hour as his girl shopped.
Shop owner Sarala Manandhar, a mother-of-two, said she had the shock of her life when Cyrus walked in about 3pm - and her daughters would be jealous.
"My girls watch Hannah Montana every night", she said.
"They will be so gutted to have missed her."
"[Miley] said her favourite items were Nepalese prayer beads ... she also bought a dress, a jacket, some silver jewellery.
"Poor Liam stood in a corner and waited patiently."
SHE might have just travelled halfway around the world for her first Australian tour but yesterday nothing kept Miley Cyrus from a day of girly fun with mum Tish in Sydney.
The Hannah Montana star and singer, who opens the Australian leg of her Gypsy Heart tour in Brisbane tomorrow night, slipped into town early yesterday and wasted no time grabbing a table at paparazzi-magnet Otto where mum and daughter ordered seafood and salads.
Evading photographers, they bypassed the boardwalk and made a sneaky exit through the Blue Hotel before jumping in a waiting van which whizzed them to Darlinghurst for serious retail therapy.
Cyrus, whose estimated net worth is said to be nudging $1 billion, blazed through a chunk of it at design store Matt Blatt before picking up a few items at sass & bide, Kate Sylvester and Shakuhachi.
"She paid for everything with a black American Express card," one eagle-eyed spy said.
"At one point she opened her wallet and realised she didn't have it but a minder ran back to the van and found it in there."
After a three-hour shopping session, the Cyrus duo returned to her Four Seasons room. There was no sign of Cyrus's Aussie beau Liam Hemsworth, said to be joining her during her tour.
Meanwhile Trish, who is chaperoning 18-year-old Miley on her world tour, recently halted divorce proceedings with husband and country singer Billy Ray Cyrus.
Unlike Selena Gomez, Miley doesn't seem to care what her younger fans think about her racy image!
When Miley Cyrus introduced the world to her naughty side - right around the time she premiered her "Can't Be Tamed" video - the fans responded overwhelmingly negatively. But that hasn't deterred Miley from including seemingly topless photos in a shoot to promote her upcoming Gypsy Heart Tour!

After taking a self-imposed break from Twitter last month, Miley Cyrus has gotten her tweet back and has left Los Angeles for the second leg of her Gypsy Heart concert tour...with one member missing from her entourage.
After a tour in Latin America, Miley took to Twitter on May 29: "Just don't want you guys to think I am abandoning you. Im going home for a few weeks before starting tour back up ... so I wont be tweeting often. I am taking some much needed PRIVATE #metime LOVE YOU GUYS X."

Sources tell E! News that Miley left L.A. today for Manila, Philippines, where she has a concert on June 17. From there, Miley jets off to Australia and begins a tour Down Under on June 21 in Brisbane.

Miley Cyrus has appeared on the cover of Australia's Dolly magazine, as it emerges her romance with Aussie hunk Liam Hemsworth is seemingly on again.
Liam's brother, Luke, speaking in Melbourne on the red carpet for the Aussie premiere of the movie Oranges And Sunshine, let the cat out of the bag.
Talking about his younger brother, Luke said, 'He was going to [tour with her in Australia] but I'm not sure.'
Miley, 18, is due in Australia with her Gypsy heart tour later this month and Liam may now be joining her.
Speaking about Liam, her co-star in the movie The Last Song, Miley has said, 'I'd been in LA for three years and I don't think any guy had actually opened the door for me.
'I was like, wow, that's super impressive.
'I actually turned to the director and said, 'He's got the job'.
Before Nick Jonas and Liam Hemsworth dated Miley Cyrus, Tyler Posey had once won her heart. The 19-year-old actor, who lands a lead role on MTV's remake TV series "Teen Wolf", recently revealed that the former "Hannah Montana" cutie was his first girlfriend and his first kiss.

Singer-actress Miley Cyrus is to record a song with her rocker brother Trace for his new album.
Singer-guitarist Trace formed new group Ashland High earlier this year after his band Metro Station broke up.
The 22-year-old is working on Ashland High's debut album and is set to surprise fans with a special duet - a collaboration with his sister.
Trace wrote on his Twitter page: 'To all of u asking. Yes me and Miley r planning on doing a song for my new Ashland High album! The song is crazy! Miley will kill the chorus.'

The pics are of the "Party in the USA" singer in her upcoming movie "So Undercover" - which is a comedy film about a young woman who snags a job with the FBI to pose as a sorority girl in order to protect a mobster's daughter.
Aside from looking super sexy in the movie, Miley also had to learn to fight and use guns.
During filming, she told press, "I've been doing fighting, like learning how to box...mostly like street fighting, so knowing how to, like, if someone comes up from behind you, being able to defend yourself," she said. "I have a trainer and I have bruises everywhere from, like, kicking the bags... And I've learned how to use guns, which was really scary."

There's no doubt that Miley Cyrus is a slave to fashion but who's one retailer that she has no tolerance for? Hipster Mecca, Urban Outfitters. After word that the chain stole a jewelry design from a lesser-known artist, Cyrus took to Twitter to let the skinny jean paradise hear her roar (via Celebuzz).
"Love that everybody is hating on Urban Outfitters," Cyrus tweeted. "Not only do they steal from artists but every time you give them money, you help finance a campaign against gay equality," she continued to tweet with the hashtag 'SHADYASHELL.'
In her Twitter rant, Cyrus sites the recent claim that Urban Outfitters jacked the design behind necklaces shaped like varying states from independent artist, Stevie Koerner, who sells her designs on Etsy.com.
"I'm very disappointed in Urban Outfitters," Koerner wrote on her blog. "I know they have stolen designs from plenty of other artists. I understand that they are a business, but it's not cool to completely rip off an independent designer's work."
But Urban Outfitters' not so flattering penchant for copying isn't the only reason they've got Cyrus up in arms. The company's CEO, Richard Hayne, has donated thousands of dollars to Pennsylvania Senator, Rick Santorum's campaign funds -- the same politician who has openly spoken against gay equality.
"'IF WE ALLOW GAY MARRIAGE NEXT THING U KNOW PEOPLE WILL BE MARRYING GOLD FISH' - Rick Santorum UO contributed $13,000 to this mans campaign," Cyrus continued to tweet.
Could Cyrus actually have an impact on the brand's revenue? Urban Outfitters' PR team better get a move on it before they find out.
